Cruise Sip (“the App”) is designed to help you track drinks consumed during cruise vacations. Your privacy is important to us, and this policy explains how we handle your data.
Data Collection and Storage
What We Collect
The App stores the following information that you provide:
- Cruise trip details (cruise line, ship name, dates, drink package cost)
- Drink entries (category, price, timestamp)
- Custom drink configurations
- App preferences (appearance mode, default prices, favorites)
Where Data is Stored
- On Your Device: All data is stored locally on your device using Apple’s SwiftData framework.
- iCloud Sync: If you have iCloud enabled, your data is automatically synced across your devices using Apple’s CloudKit. This data is stored in your private iCloud account and is not accessible to us.
Data We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect personal information (name, email, phone number)
- We do not collect location data
- We do not collect device identifiers
- We do not use analytics or tracking services
- We do not display advertisements
Third-Party Services
The App uses Apple’s iCloud/CloudKit service for data synchronization. Apple’s privacy policy governs how they handle data stored in iCloud. You can learn more at apple.com/privacy.
Data Sharing
We do not share, sell, or transfer your data to any third parties. Your drink tracking data remains entirely within your control.
Data Deletion
You can delete your data at any time by:
- Deleting individual trips or drinks within the App
- Deleting the App from your device
- Managing iCloud storage through your device Settings
Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the “Last Updated” date above.
